Summer Holidays in Australia August 03 2016, 0 Comments
Planning a summer holiday? Don't forget to pack your favourite beach robe. Now is the perfect time for holiday planning. Where’s your favourite place to holiday in Australia in summer?
We love the far north coast region of New South Wales. Kingscliff and Cabarita Beach are family favourites.
Miles of sand stretching as far as the eye can see, sparkling blue & turquoise ocean waters and some of the best, cleanest beaches in Australia. We just love it!
Start the day by watching the magical sunrise. Daily walks along the beach collecting treasures, daily bike rides along the cycle ways right next to the beach, non-stop swimming in the pool, jumping waves in the beautiful ocean and of course, ice cream. That’s what summer holidays in Australia are all about. Getting the kids outdoors and making memories at the same time. It’s as simple & easy as that.
Both destinations are great coastal towns with everything to suit all budgets & holiday styles. Both destinations are also surfing hotspots. Locals and pro-surfers from all over come here in search of that perfect wave. They put on quite a show coming within inches of the rocky coastline and it’s amazing to watch.
Kingscliff also has a fantastic estuary access for swimming, fishing, SUP and all other water sports.
A daily walk up to Norries Head at the southern end of Cabarita Beach is a must. If you’re there at the right time you will see plenty of dolphins and whales. The view from the top either side is also pretty spectacular.
Throw in fantastic restaurants, cafes, homewares & lifestyle boutiques and you have one of the best beach holiday destinations in New South Wales.
Bring on summer! And don't forget to pack the kid's favourite beach robe.

Winter Swimming Lessons July 22 2016, 0 Comments
Should you continue your child’s swimming lessons during the winter months?
YES! There are many reasons and benefits to continue your child’s swimming lessons during the winter months.
We’d like to share our top 3 with you:
Swimming is a key Life Skill. Keep your children's skill levels up with winter swimming lessons. Many children who stop swimming over the winter months can regress when they return to the pool in summer. Why waste all that effort and money on swimming lessons in the warmer months only to drop them during the cooler months? By swimming regularly during winter in an indoor heated pool they can continually improve and progress their skills.
It’s no secret that swimming is fantastic for fitness all year round. Whether your child plays soccer, AFL, rugby, netball, basketball, cricket or other sport, then regular swimming will increase their overall fitness to help support and maximise their on-field performance during their weekend games.
The benefits of learning about water safety cannot be emphasised enough for both young and older children. The chances are that your children will spend alot of time in, around or near water in the warmer months which increases the risk of potential drowning. Swimming lessons through winter will allow them to continue with the development of their skills whilst increasing their knowledge of water safety awareness. Keep them dry and warm with a fabulous and practical swim robe!
